I Take It Back About the Police

 

The 3:38 code from the police is not that reliable.  The comment is, it's CIANA--confidentiality, integrity, authenticity, non-repudiation, and availability.  The thing is, if the police could deny that they said anything, that would violate non-confidentiality.  I think they wanted me to blog about the guy who showed up by the neighbor's fence the other day.  So I did that.  They weren't saying the date.


So, here's my axiom:  Someone would make an effort to tell me the date.


I think the July 30 woman was the most clearly reliable.  Someone knows who she is, and she might be bright enough to know that if she's lying, she might get arrested.  It would depend on what she was actually doing, and if someone knew about her contacts or whatever.


Is it true that few BH?  Few get my online posts, but many get something about me...my name, or my photograph?  It looks like my appearance is more clearly well-known than my name.  Is there a photograph of me circulating somewhere?  It sounds like the work of the Russians or the Chinese.


I think, independent of the sources, the safest day to bet that it would be would be July 30.  I can't turn off the "gestures thing" yet, because that's how people signal me things.  Maybe I should just stop looking at it.  I will stop when the signals stop...I need information, particularly about when this ends, and that is the means to communicate it to me.


I don't know how to mathematically model the idea of "multiple steganographic publishers" who are saying something, but some of them are bad and some of them are good.  How would you methodically identify who is telling the truth?  Maybe you'd use 0 knowledge proofs.  IDK.


It could be June.  I don't think it's actually August 3.


I think it's healthy for me to think about this.  I'll like it more when it's all over and I'm recovering and there's no more uncertainty about what's going on and what the date is.  Yeah, I think it's some wealthy person with private security.  The people are trying to look like college students in some cases.


I played Civ 5 today.  I am getting better at it.

EDIT:  No, this proof is not correct.  See the updates at the bottom for details on why (based on Dr. Zelinsky's comment).  Fortunately, my GLL proof and MSR proofs still appear to be correct. Hello, Texas - A Quick Monopoly Lesson

  So today, I thought I saw some people running around blurting code gestures at me.  One of the codes seemed to say, "Riot for a[buse] v[ictim] time -M".  Oh, M?  M as in Monolith, or M as in Monopoly fan who doesn't get it? Here, Houstonian code-talkers...let me teach you how to play Monopoly, since you are so hungry for free knowledge:  - Make deals with other players that benefit you.  - Offer deals to difficult players that are somewhat beneficial to them, knowing that they might reject.  - Watch which deals other players reject, and identify what *deal types* they are not likely to accept from you or anyone else.  - Be very very careful about your own deals--and behavior--lest you get figured out by your opponents and backed into a corner, with good, beneficial deals being made without you by cunning adversaries who know your every move. Flash Non-Fiction: James Bond and Masculinity

  This was going to be a longer essay, but I decided to just blurt out my point rather than trying to write well. Basically, I think James Bond movies are good, and the songs are high-quality too, but it sends semi-dangerous messages to men in particular about what it means to be a man.  The Bond character is intransigent, aggressive, violent, and absolutely sure of himself in all cases.  He is portrayed as a big winner--able to date and have sex with beautiful women, almost impossible to kill, and lethal and elite at both armed and unarmed combat. I'm concerned that some men, including my estranged father ASW, have had their sense of morality warped by Bond movies.  They think that this dramatically presented way to be masculine is the only way.  I think that's unhealthy, and when people get the not-so-original idea to "try to be more Bond-like" in their personal lives, that leads to catastrophic conflicts with and major potential for deep pain for people that ...
