A Possibility of Why the Investigation Takes So Long

Maybe there are tons of moles, and the FBI is concerned that they would leak something once arrested.  Maybe they wanted 3 years to make sure that when they arrest people with clearances, they wouldn't have massive leaks that would bring things down.

I think it's still a mistake.  The FBI should at least communicate with me, the victim, regarding their plans.  I could be required to sign an agreement to stay silent, or, subjected to a court order preventing me from talking.  That hasn't happened.  I would follow a court order, I'm not "too crazy to keep my mouth shut."

Also, it's a failure of problem-solving.  Is the FBI missing an engineer/mathematician to help them do this more efficiently?  It sounds like political inappropriateness at the top of the chain of command at the FBI.  Probably, some FBI agents are fine, but the political top people, like James Comey in the past, made huge mistakes regarding this case.
